Grief and Recovery

Yesterday Today Tomorrow

About the Book

The book is structured around a unique model developed through 30 years of research on grieving. It emphasizes understanding dying and death as the initial stages of grief. Dr. Sweeny then explores the multifaceted experience of grief, delving into the emotions and relationships associated with the profound sense of loss. The concept of bereavement is also examined, shedding light on the deep sorrow that follows the death of a loved one.

The book innovates by exploring the past grieving state, examining the historical, relational, and emotional aspects that contribute to understanding the impact of one’s grief. It then reframes past and present experiences in the current state section, culminating in a grief histogram, a self-reflection, and an understanding tool.
